ComparaGrid was a BBSRC funded project to develop a prototype system to capture the details of relationships between genomic data either within or across species thus enabling complex ad hoc queries to be run. ComparaGrid demonstrates that the underlying raw data can be combined to draw maximum benefit from those data for all genomic communities.

Its partners were the Roslin Institute (A Law PI), the University of Manchester, University of Newcastle , the European Bioinformatics Institute, the Institute of Food Research Centre and the John Innes Centre.

ComparaGrid ran from January 2005 to June 2008.
